School Band Application Form

 

This is the application to participate in Delmarva’s Finest Christmas Parade…the Pocomoke City Christmas Parade on Monday night on December 2nd 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Rain date is Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024.

 

Acknowledged by many Band Directors as the area’s premier parade, our exciting parade package includes:

 

• Each band will receive $300 travel expense money

 

• Host band Pocomoke cannot place in the band category.

 

• Grand Champion award of a trophy for highest overall scoring band. Followed by a 1st Runner Up and a 2nd Runner Up

 

• Professional judging by the National Judges Association (NJA) with individual and composite score sheets provided to each band

The parade route is one mile in length with no turns with the reviewing stand located to your right in the downtown area. This is a wide, well-lit area. We do permit a SHORT pause for a routine in at the reviewing stand. However, due to the size of the parade, stops for routines along the parade not will be permitted. Prizes and trophies will be awarded immediately upon the judges’ decisions from the reviewing stand. In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be postponed until Tuesday November 28 at 7pm. Schools will be notified by 2:00 p.m. if we must postpone the event.

 

The Pocomoke City Christmas Parade is proud to attract bands from throughout the tri-state area. We listen to the suggestions of our band directors that help us make this event better each year.
